Hi folks!

 

I'm taking part in the 2014 Townsville to Cairns Bike Ride to help raise much needed funds for the Children's Cancer Institute of Australia.  It's a 350km ride over three days (for those in the UK, that's almost 220 miles, roughly the distance from Liverpool to Glasgow).  There's a mountain range in the middle that I have to get over and the North Queensland winter weather to endure (think lovely hot British summer's day, but without the rain).  I've never, ever done anything ike this before and, if I'm totally honest, I'm pretty scared at the prospect.  Having fund-raised in October (and I know you were all so, so generous then), I know in my heart that seeing your donations being pledged gives me an enormous psychological boost - after all, if you believe in me, I should believe in me too, right? 

 

I am so honoured to be a part of this amazing event and helping such a great cause and I really appreciate all your support in this endeavour.
